Yes, so… Um… I was meant to update wasn’t I?

January 30, 2010

As to last night, I was tired and couldn’t be bothered to write and fell asleep at 11:30pm… Hmm.

So last Monday(!), I started my new job. I love the building and the area it’s in; it’s the heart of derelict Croydon which if you know me, you’d know that I love that stuff. I can see the near derelict St. George’s Walk from my office window! Gah, I love it. I was told that the whole St. George’s Walk area was due to be demolished and developed but the buyer pulled out. The government is now trying to get people back in the buildings. The kitchen overlooks Pop World and Victorian Croydon (and you know how I feel about all things Victorian!). It’s weird being in a big (half derelict) building rather than in two little units in the middle of an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere. There’s a near empty vending machine and we’re next to an accountants and a computer company. The first, second and third floors are empty! I think the third floor has people on it sometimes cos I’m sure there was a light on at some point during the week. I use the stairs as I hate lifts but we’re not on the 10th floor or anything (there isn’t a 10th floor) so I don’t mind the stairs. They remind me of the marbled stairs you get in school, actually.

So when I started on Monday, there was Jackie the boss and someone else who works on Mondays and Thursdays. I was only there for an hour so that doesn’t count :P

So Tuesday… um… what did I do? Not a lot. Worked out my times as 10am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. We looked at the website and decided what we would do to change it. Um… then I went home. Oh wait, I think that’s when we had an induction thing.

Wednesday, someone called Carlon started. I like him but he’s a bit weird and talks to himself, praising himself and telling himself that’s he’s a genius… Not used to having a male in the office. lol. I typed up the thing for the website and started something else (what was it?). Oh yeah, the Croydon Women’s Scheme Information Sheet. Then I went home.

Thursday, I finished the WS thing (I think). Why can’t I remember anything about Thursday?

Friday, I went through the Benefits manual and Googled, Wiki’d and wrote down things that needed updating as the booklet came out in 2004. To be honest, I just think that she wants to give me stuff to do! Most of the manual was still up to date as well.

There was other stuff I was gonna write about but I can’t remember it now. Everytime I answer the rarely ringing phone, I’m always nearly saying Zafron. Lol. Habit, I guess :P

What else has happened this week? Chris started playing my X-Files game and LOL at Polygon Mulder, Polygon Scully, Polygon Skinner, Polygon Lone Gunmen, Polygon Krychek, Polygon Marita and Polygon CGB Spender! They have their mannerisms and it’s high-larious.

OOH! I didn’t write about Manda’s birthday, did I? It was so good seeing her after ages (August)! She looked gorgeous! Took us 45 minutes to get there as we got lost in Croydon (don’t ask). We were there until about 10:30pm but still, seeing Manda was the reason I was there. Now I’m working in Croydon, I’ll see her more I hope!

I keep getting a pain in my ear :(

What else was I gonna talk about? I dunno. Oh, we got a tiny bit of snow last night! I thought it was all over but obviously not. I mean, it’s still snow season and the stuff that we’d get now will be our usual westerly snow, not the hard stuff we got from the east at the end of December/early January so it wouldn’t stick around for as long. The sky is clear blue at the moment. It was -1 earlier but my weather gadget is saying it’s 2 degrees now. It was practically a heatwave with temperatures of 7 degrees the other week!

Anyways. Might add more later (I always say that, don’t I?)

Was it really Christmas?

December 26, 2009

It honestly doesn’t feel like it! Even yesterday I didn’t even feel Christmassy AT ALL. I got some good stuff though:

Bones Seasons 1-4 on DVD
A chocolate brown velour tracksuit
A Hello Kitty Beanie Baby
Hello Kitty slipper socks
Loose slipper socks
Super soft socks
Underwear
Posh Ferrero Rocher things from Christina next door
Nail manicure kit
Christian Lacroix Absynthe perfume and make-up bag
A tin of Mingles
Red SkullCandy Ink’D earphones (Charlie broke my previous ones)

I had asked for Bones, Absynthe and the earphones. Everything else was a surprise :) So I woke up at seven and waited for someone to come to wake us up. After half an hour, no one did so I went to go and wake Daniel and Charlie up. Made our way downstairs and then opened the presents. At about 12, we went to Nan and Grandad’s and had a sing song until about 2. Then we went to the pub where the wine tasted like metal and the lime, lemonade and vodka tasted like lime and sugar and the actual pub in which was full of losers and weirdos from the Stanhope days (not including Malcolm, Henry and Ian). We left there at about 3 and come home. Waited for a bit for dinner (we didn’t bother with roast turkey – no one eats it). We put on mum’s new Willl Young greatest hits CD/DVD (I’m going to steal it mwahahaha) whilst dinner was being eaten then after dinner, I cleared the table and went to Chris’s where we watched Doctor Who (I miss him already and he hasn’t even gone yet :( ) and then I watched Corrie (I fell asleep at the beginning and woke up at the end) then Eastenders then The Royle Family (which was hilarious in parts because some of it rang so true) then watched Catherine Tate and fell asleep again. All in all, it was a quiet day. Interesting to see some old faces from the past but it wasn’t a Christmas that’ll particularly stand out :P

Today, we went to Croydon and then Sutton (which was more or less closed when we got there). I just know that I’ve eaten waaaaaaaaaay too much. I dunno what else to say now lol.

-2??? You’re having a laugh!

December 19, 2009

-2°C
Feels Like -6°C
Fair

According to http://uk.weather.com/weather/today-Carshalton-SM5 (at time of posting) Minus bloody two??? I think this is colder than it was last year and it didn’t even snow until February! (Well, we had a dusting in October but that doesn’t count). According to that site, we should be getting some more tonight. I hope so, I love snow. It’s still thick on the ground here but on the pavements, it’s basically sheet ice and is very very slippery and dangerous.

I dunno wtf just happened there but my head just span very fast. Like I just spun around on a chair. Ugh. Feel out of sorts now. Not feeling well today, my throat is still feeling funny and ugh. I’m a bit sniffly too and just want to go back to sleep.

Went to CDG yesterday until 12:30. Was alright, just didn’t do very much. It was cold and horrible in Croydon. Got there easily though because there was no traffic as the country was busy coming to a standstill because of the little sprinkling of snow we got. The roads were perfectly clear! Very accessible. It was nice not sitting at Fiveways for ten minutes.

Ugh, feel all dizzy and weird now. Might write later.

Like a shooting star across the midnight sky…

December 16, 2009

Random title I know but it’s what I’m listening to :P Well, Devotion now by Sy & Demo. Having a bit of a Happy Hardcore nostalgia session and this was my FAVOURITE of them all. I miss my big brother and our Sunday afternoons recording Dream FM *sigh*

Baby D ftw!

So…

IT’S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!1 OMFG. I love snow!!!! Can’t believe it’s snowing already! It’s like it never left! Started a CDG course in Croydon on Monday and when we went for our first break, I noticed it was very lightly falling and gradually got heavier as the last hour went on (finished at 12:30) and is still falling! Started around 11am. Wasn’t settling much in Croydon but turning very white around my house in Carshalton! It kept changing from snow to sleet to back again. Seems to have settled on actual flakey snow. I reeeaaaaallllyyyyy want some snow boots! My dad recently bought some and I said I wanted some. Had grey ones when I was little! You can just about see them in this pic. Been writing this for ages and it’s still snowing steadily! It’s starting to settle on the patio now so it’s really starting to be like real snowy snow now.

Went outside to check if the rabbits were alright and gave them even more bedding and covered them back up again. They were fascinated by the snow in February and watched from inside the conservatory! Took our kittens just outside the back door for a minute or so to show them their first snow :D They started shivering a little bit before I brought them in (they were out for literally a minute and were being held by me).

So the trainee school secretary people rang me and I have to send them my CV. Wasn’t expecting them to call so that was good! Practically had an interview over the phone with the agency so fingers crossed.

ON MY OWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNN, ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE, TONIGHT! I love that song. And the film. Bloodsport is INCREDIBLE. Sad that I know the words! Hahaha. They had it on CD ready for my birthday party but they forgot to take it. Me and Martin would’ve been belting it out! Lmao! We’re as sad as each other.

KUMITE KUMITE KUMITE KUMITE KUMITE KUMITE. Gosh, I’m well over-due for a viewing of Bloodsport. Seen it so many times that we say the lines before they do. Hahaha, Ray Jackson is the pilot of The X-Files! Took a pic of him and sent it to Martin. He found it hilarious.

What else was I gonna talk about?

DIR-TY DI-ANA! If Xtina was to sing it (she’d own it), she’d have to call it Dirrty Diana :) Smooth Criminal now.

K, I’ll update later :P
