And I didn’t do that before because…

January 21, 2010

Ok, I didn’t know you could until I created a test blog for *someone’s logo I made.

Feeling really tired still. Didn’t get much sleep night before last (if you had been reading this blog before, you’d know about my DSPS) and I’m still tired! So after yesterday’s mega update about Aquarian’s and how it’s the month of the Aquarian (good luck!), I don’t have a lot to say.

Amanda’s party on Saturday – really looking forward to it. Been far too long since I last saw her. Think it was in August or something! Still haven’t had an email from that place so I’ll probably have to end up ringing them. So not prepared lol. Still need to find the clothes I’m gonna wear. Added: Just rung them to ask for an email so she’s gonna send me one. How annoying!

The Job Centre have rung me three times now to ask me what I’ll be doing. *Sigh*.

Just said that winter is passing really quickly this year! Only two more months until spring! Of course, that also means that it’s my birthday soon too.

Paid my Orange bill and they haven’t switched my signal back on yet. Why can’t anybody do anything anymore? So the mood I’m in today is frustrated. Yes.

Laptop update:
Same as before, a bit slow in parts but running A LOT faster than it was when I first got it back. So glad I finally got off my bum and got it fixed. Why the eff did I wait that long? See, I have a real problem with motivation and actually doing things.

Went to Sutton yesterday and when I went to the interiors section of Wilkinsons, I just felt at home. It just seems natural to be around wallpaper, furniture and cushions. I still want to be an interior designer, that hasn’t left me and I haven’t changed my mind. I told Chris yesterday that our house is gonna be beautiful because I’m going to design it :P It’s gonna have a mix of stuff in it; old fashioned Victorian/Edwardian with a modern twist. Think the dining room has to be a gothic affair! There’s loads of stuff from Alchemy Gothic that we want, namely this:

Garden of Eden Intimity Glass
Exotic, serpentine, double glass for sharing those special, intimate occasions. Two intertwined, solid pewter snakes incorporating a central rose vial, forming the holders for the pair of separate glasses, each trimmed with black heart-crystal finials. 20 cm (8″) high overall.

I think it’s beautiful! When me and Chris first got together, we were looking through some Alchemy Gothic catalogues and that was the first thing he said he liked and I loved it when I first saw it. It’s expensive though! On average, it’s about £130!

Wrote a lot for Danzatore the other night. Actually wrote another huge milestone in it. The rest of the story needs some work though; needs a lot of filler! It’s 102 pages at the moment and 60.5k words! Good, huh? Have a good feeling about this one too. I never finished Iris but one day I will. I see promise in that one too. Think I might plan the rest of it because I was just writing that one by ear!

My leg is going to sleep.

Not much else to write about now.

Bai!

So I cut my hair last night…

December 20, 2009

Surprisingly, it came out really well! It’s layered all over and at the front, bringing the purpleness out more. It feels a lot lighter! Don’t have much of a ponytail now though. About time I cut my hair, I’ve had enough of it! It was right down to my bum earlier this year then I had about six inches taken off of it. Then last night I saw the scissors and thought, “sod it!” and looked up how to do it on Google. It hasn’t taken a lot off the length but I did cut off a lot of hair! It’s at the length I wanted it to be at now – just above my elbows. The shortest bit hangs just under my chin! I’ve had it layered before – for Caroline’s wedding in 2000 and Christine did it in Selsey in 2004/2005 I think.

Pics here. My mum and dad thought that I had added more colour to it and were like o_O but once I had washed it, they could see the layering. Mum said that she thinks that it looks tatty! It’s a bit uneven but it looks feathery. I wanna put it back up into a greatly reduced ponytail but it’s keeping me warm :P it’s cold today and it’s getting colder (as well as dark).

I don’t think it’s gonna snow again although it’s supposed to tomorrow. At least then the ice rink outside will be covered again! I’m telling you, it’s dangerous out there. It’s like walking on wet glass. Ironically, the safest place to walk is in the road! The pavements are totally non-negotionable! You have to literally hold on for dear life! They’ve hardly gritted anywhere around here. You can’t walk up my road without danger of breaking something! Chris’ dad slipped over and sprained his wrist when it snowed in February! My dad fell over too on his paper-round. I worry about him (especially on a Sunday because of all the papers he has to carry) because the roads where he delivers are all back streets and they’re always worse.

Feeling a bit better than yesterday so touch wood, I won’t be ill at Christmas for the third year running! I feel exactly how I felt before the chest infection of 2007 and the chest cold of 2008 came out. 2007 was awful, it really was. I hardly got out of bed for two weeks. I lost weight because I had no appetite and only managed a few scraps of turkey. When we got up at about eight, I ended up going back to bed and forcing myself to go to my Nan and Grandad’s. At midnight on New Years Eve, I was watching a Take That concert! Last year wasn’t so bad though. The reason, I think, I was so ill in 2007 was because we went out for our Xmas do to Croydon and it was about -2! Then last year, it started when we went to Brighton on the 27th of December, then the Natural History Museum and then The Horniman Museum. Last winter was so cold and by New Years Eve, I was coughing all over again!

Going to CDG tomorrow but finishing on Wednesday (thank god).

Anyway, starting to feel a bit dizzy now. Laterz.

The Truth and The Light

December 4, 2009

Aww, somebody searched for “tippystardust wordpress”. Hi whoever you are! Somebody looking specifically for me ^_^ I feel like I’m famous. I have fans.

Anyways, onto other things.

Wasn’t nice going home and realising that Princess isn’t there. At least when I’m at Chris’ I can pretend she’s still there. Sylvester looks so sad :-( I can’t believe how quickly it happened. To be honest, I’m not thinking about it because when I do, I get sad.

Ffs, I hate Westlife. I honestly can’t stand them. I’ve never liked them, they get on my nerves. Just wish they’d disappear! They just sing cover versions now. *Shudder*.

So winter is setting in! 1st of December 2009 was a frosty one! She arrived on cue! I want it to snow, I love snow. Chris was ill when it snowed in February (pics here. There’s more in the link on the left of the actual day) so he couldn’t come with me when I went into the frozen wastes and on my exhibition! That was one of the reasons I took so many pictures (about 400 in all!). Carshalton was beautiful in the snow. The Grove looked like Narnia! So amazing. My SLR was in its element :-)

My feet are freezing! Decided to wear my purple Doctor Martens so I can start wearing them in because I have to do it every year, mainly because my weight goes up and down so much! I had a pair when I was in infant school and I loved them so much. I used to wear them with my frilly socks! My mother is such an Aquarian. I decided that I was gonna buy an adult pair so I did! I took a pic of both pairs of my purple Dr Martens with my Polaroid camera!

Been watching my X-Files dvDVD’s! Gonna watch the last episode in a minute. I’ve got this and I saw it in HMV a few years ago (it came out in 2005) and it was always too expensive; they were selling it for £200! Well, Chris and I went to Sutton one day and I saw it there again and they were selling it for £70 and there was no way I was gonna miss out on that! It was weird seeing episodes I hadn’t seen since I was little (already mentioned before that I used to watch it before I could read properly – Martin used to read out “Paranormal Activity” and the info in the corner). We definitely used to watch it when it was originally aired going by the dates in the booklets. When I’ve watched all the DVD’s, I’ll do mini reviews on my favourite episodes from each season! :-D

Anyway, ima go now. Paul O’Grady has made me feel dizzy!
